Do you need to be a writer to be a blogger?

Is there any border with blogger and writer? How can we say if a writer is also a blogger or vice versa? I am not a writer but I still don’t know if I should call myself a blogger. Both writer and blogger can write anything but I believe that there is a difference between the two.

According to Wikipedia, a writer is a person who uses written words in various styles and techniques to communicate ideas. Writers produce various forms of literary art and creative writing such as novels, short stories, poetry, plays, news articles, screenplays, or essays. A writer never stops to write unlike blogger who can stop anytime they like. Writers are usually hired and work as an employee by a certain company while bloggers usually emerge as freelancers.

Blogger on the other hand is the one who manages a blog site or managing a compilation of videos. Blogger is the author of his own site and can work independently or with other co-bloggers. Their work or written article may come as their opinion or from their own research and write it on their blog.

Blogger can learn and establish their own blog anytime or overnight while writer is passionate ever since he learns to write and usually a publisher of a book or magazine. Some of them took up course but usually they are born with talent in writings. But in reality writer can also be a blogger and set up their site, while blogger concentrate only in publishing on the internet.
